Investing in the SDGs: Unlocking Africa’s Trillion Dollar Impact Opportunities
The global call to both public and private sectors to embrace and integrate the SDGs in their practices, brought new concerns for impact investors, impact entrepreneurs and organisations which were already dealing with several challenges impeding the impact sector from reaching mainstream.
In addition to the demands for high-impact projects, request for asset managers with knowledge of the field in order to meet investors or clients’ expectations, as well as the problems of how to structure deals, measure and manage impact, the 2nd Africa Impact Investing Leaders Forum will gather a full spectrum of stakeholders in the impact investing arena to:
- Discover how impact investors can align their investment strategies to the SDGs; incorporating both impact and SDG tools in measuring impact.
- Examine the roles of institutional investors in achieving the SDGs, and how impact could be scaled through collaboration with philanthropists, MFIs, NGOs as well as other industry players; then
- Connect capital with impact projects and partners.
Congratulations for the Impact Investing in Africa forum yesterday. It was an outstanding event!
