Road to 2030: Impact Investing & Stakeholders’ Roles in the Delivery of the Sustainable Development Goals.
As we approach the halfway point of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 2030), only 15% of the global goals are reported to be on track, according to the UNDP.
New armed conflicts, climate disasters, economic downturns and the global pandemic had reversed the progress earlier recorded, and as a result, international development experts and impact investors are now clamouring for stock-taking and have posed the all- important question: what more needs to be done?
Now certain that the goal of eradicating poverty have been severely hampered following this new development, the concerted efforts of all stakeholders are required to ensure the SDGs are realised, within the time scale and especially in the continent.
Thus, aligning with the ambition of reaching the mainstream for greater impact, the 6th Africa Impact Investing Leaders Forum 2023 will digitally gather a full spectrum of stakeholders in the impact investing arena to:
- Collectively take-stock – To discuss the most pressing issues in relations to the delivery of SDGs and impact investing in the region.
- Explore innovative and practical solutions – To address the key questions in relations to the realisation of impact objectives and SDGs; &
- Exchange news – On impact investment opportunities and projects information.
